STORY
Atsu Omori started helping guitar players in Australia find rare, high-quality second-hand guitars from Japan, where he was born and raised and where the second-hand guitar market is considerably larger and more diverse.
Through OMO Guitar, he has helped deliver several hundred carefully selected second-hand guitars to Australian players since 2010, offering quality instruments at very reasonable prices.
As a certified guitar builder and repairer, Atsu has also set up and repaired countless high-quality instruments, always with a strong focus on craftsmanship, attention to detail, and providing professional service at a reasonable cost.
In 2017, He established his own custom guitar brand, Triplewood Guitar Works, and built a fully custom-designed guitar for his guitar hero, Deniz Tek of Radio Birdman. He has also worked full-time at Maton Guitars, one of Australia’s most respected guitar brands, since 2015. Working in the finish department, he specializes in custom burst finishes, including both satin and gloss finishes. He also works closely with master luthier Andy Allen, assisting with custom-shop production and helping maintain the highest standards of craftsmanship.
