Among the various limited edition models associated with John’s beloved instruments, this one is very rare reproduction of the very first guitar he ever owned, a 1962 reissue featuring a laminated spruce top, mahogany back and sides, a one-piece mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard, ladder bracing, an adjustable saddle, and John’s signature on the truss-rod cover. Only 550 were made.
The neck and frets are in perfect condition. Acoustically, it delivers a lively, open tone with impressive volume, and once plugged in, the rich midrange shines through with a natural feel. Even in a full band assemble, it maintains a warm natural resonance that you cannot expect from piezo pickup systems.
It carries minor play wear and small dents as expected from a 25 years old instrument but it has been exceptionally well cared for and remains in outstanding condition, ideal for both collectors and players.

Comes with the original hard shell case, certificate of authenticity, and other Gibson documentation.
